| Wren ~ Troglodytes troglodytes
We all see many House Sparrows, Blackbirds and Starlings in our gardens but surprisingly the Wren is the most numerous bird in Britain. Because of its small size, brown colour and secretive habits it's presents is often only give away by it's call , so loud for such a small bird. 'My Wren' , the one that has visited my garden for the last three years is usually much less visible in the summer, but in the winter it will come to be fed and always says thank you, at least "tic, tic", when it picks up the meal worms. Fortunately this year a pair built a nest in a creeper on the front of the house and one of the young ones stayed in the back garden for about three weeks giving me a great opportunity to take quite a lot of photographs.
